Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a experienced SEND Teacher to join this lovely, family feel autism base in Southwark starting as soon as possible. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

The School:

The Southwark based school is a base for pupils with autism, challenging behaviour, and the associated learning disabilities. The base is attached to a mainstream setting and is well equipped to provide the best education possible. You will have access to sensory rooms, amongst other helpful tools for pupils with high autism needs.

The base holds 12 children maximum. In the base the children are placed within this unit by the local authority through a referral process. ARP pupils join in with day to day school life and integrate into mainstream classes according to their individual levels of need.

As a SEND teacher you will be responsible for the below:

路 Planning and assessing pupils with Autism.

路 Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions.

路 Support behaviour by following the children's plans

路 Updating and setting targets for children.

路 Working alongside Speech and Language Therapist

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

路 Hold previous experience working within SEND

路 Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

路 CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible

路 Legal right to work in the UK
