  • A highly successful Special Needs School in Wandsworth is seeking to appoint a specialist SEN Teacher to join their team ASAP
  • The school cater to primary and secondary pupils with a range of needs, however they are in need of an SEN teacher from January for a mixed EYFS/Yr1 class of ASD/SLD pupils.
  • This position has arisen due to a member of staff moving back to their home country in response to personal family obligations and responsibilities.

The Ideal SEN Teacher Applicant:

  • All SEN Teacher applicants must have QTS.
  • Have a passion for teaching students with autism.
  • Experience teaching within a specialist SEN environment or primary school in the UK in the last 12 months.
  • A proven record of teaching SEN students with autism would be advantageous though not essential.
  • A good understanding of P levels and the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
  • The ability to prepare and teach effective lessons taking into account the individual needs of learners.
  • A creative approach to lesson planning.
  • A patient, calm and engaging classroom manner.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
