Location: Across London (Bexley, Croydon, Lewisham, Greenwich, Lambeth, Bromley, Southwark)
Salary: £145 to £230 per day (dependent on experience)

GSL Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teachers to work in specialised schools across London. We are looking for professionals passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. As an SEN Teacher, you will provide high-quality, personalised education, helping students overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Deliver Personalised Lessons: Create and implement tailored lessons to meet the specific needs of students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and supportive environment, using effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours while promoting learning and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with Support Staff: Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other support staff to ensure each student receives comprehensive assistance.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess and track progress, keeping accurate records and reporting to parents, carers, and relevant professionals.
  • Work with External Agencies: Liaise with therapists, educational psychologists, and other specialists to develop and implement support strategies.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection: Ensure all safeguarding policies are adhered to and report any concerns following school protocols.
  • Engage with Parents and Carers: Maintain communication with parents/carers, discussing progress, behaviour, and additional support needed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working in an SEN setting, particularly with SEMH students.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and behaviour management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
