SEN Teacher

Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £145 to £230 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential? Join GSL Education as a SEN Teacher in Waltham Forest! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to work in a specialised educational setting, supporting students with a range of learning needs.

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the unique learning needs of each student, ensuring they can access the curriculum and make academic progress.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals to support each student's development.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and social development alongside academic success.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

• Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and parents.

• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection, with all successful applicants required to complete background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
