We are currently seeking dynamic and enthusiastic SEN Teachers to join a range of inclusive and supportive schools across Merton, Lambeth, and Wandsworth. We have opportunities for general SEN teaching roles as well as subject-specific positions in Maths, English, and Science. These are full-time positions requiring candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education tailored to the needs of students with a variety of special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Responsibilities include:

Planning and Delivering Lessons: Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.

Assessing and Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess student progress, set achievable targets, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning goals.

Building Positive Relationships: Foster a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.

Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning.

Parental Engagement: Maintain open and positive communication with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and involving them in their learning journey.

Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest teaching strategies and SEN practices, and actively participate in training and development opportunities.
About You
We are looking for dedicated professionals with:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status): This is a mandatory requirement.

Experience in SEN: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.

Subject Expertise: For subject-specific roles, a strong background in Maths, English, or Science is essential.

Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
