About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic qualified SEN Teacher to join one of our fantastic special schools in Haringey. This is a special needs school that supports young autistic individuals by providing a personalised curriculum while encouraging independence and self regulation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with a variety of SEN, including Autism (ASC), Speech and Language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
- Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence.
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure students thrive both academically and socially.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEN in a school setting.
- A strong understanding of strategies to support a range of SEN, including differentiated teaching methods.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
