Prospero Teaching is hiring an SEN Primary Class Teacher for a school in Streatham, London, to start ASAP. The role involves teaching children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism (ASD), and using a tailored, sensory-based curriculum.
Job Details:
- Position: SEN Primary Class Teacher (KS1/KS2)
- Location: Streatham, Lambeth, Southwest London
- Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:00pm, 5 days a week (includes parent evenings)
- Salary: MPS/UPS (according to national pay scales)
- Contract: Temporary, with potential for permanent
- Start Date: ASAP
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience with SEN (ASD, SLD, PMLD, complex needs)
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, and sensory learning (desirable)
Eligibility:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
- Two professional child-related references
