Do you have experience of teaching children with Autism? Or are you a mainstream teacher seeking an SEN teacher position?

Tradewind is looking for an SEN Teacher for a special school in North London. The role is full time starting this September with scope to continue into next academic year or become permanent.

The school:

The school caters for students aged 5-19 who have a primary diagnosis of autism and difficulties associated with social communication. Staff here aim to enable every child to flourish by encouraging and building upon their unique strengths and interests, working with students to develop and deploy strategies to overcome and cope with their difficulties. Families are offered the support and advice they need to feel confident and informed about their child's needs and future prospects.

As an ASD teacher you will be responsible for the below:

  • Planning and delivering lessons for pupils with Autism
  • Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions
  • Support behaviour by following the children's plans
  • Updating and setting targets for children
  • Working alongside other SEN professionals

To join us and be successful in this role you will need:

  • Full QTS
  • Previous experience working within SEN ideally ASD
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
