Role Purpose:

Deliver outstanding teaching and emotional regulation support to autistic children and young people. Lead the class team to ensure effective teaching, learning, and progress tracking while fostering engagement and communication between home and school.

We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work full time at a special needs school based in North London. This special needs school go above and beyond for young autistic individuals by creating a safe and vibrant learning community where young autistic individuals can thrive.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning
  • Deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet the needs of autistic pupils.
  • Ensure all pupils make progress toward targets and EHCP outcomes.
  • Plan and teach an exciting, broad, and balanced curriculum, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and individual learning needs.
  • Use autism-specific strategies like TEACCH, Positive Behaviour Support, and tailored sensory programs.
  • Regularly reflect on teaching practices to improve outcomes.
  • Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
