SEN Teacher (Primary / Part Time) | Hackney | Outstanding Mainstream Primary School

An Ofsted graded Outstanding primary school in Hackney is looking for a SEN Teacher (Primary / Part Time) who has a drive and passion for supporting pupils with Autism. The school has 40 pupils with EHCP's with Autism being the main diagnosis, you will be working alongside the Assistant Headteachers and SENCO to support pupils. This is mainly an out of class role, i.e. you will not be teaching a full timetable. When teaching you will be leading small groups / interventions of 2-3 pupils at a time.

The school has been under the same leadership for 10+ years, with the Headteacher being highly regarded across the borough. You will join a stable, passionate and friendly existing team! No high staff turnover and plenty of CPD is available across the federation of schools.

Ideally you will be a qualified primary teacher with UK QTS, who is looking to further support students with Autism, but is happy to not be full time class teaching. This is a 3-4 days per week position, the school is flexible. The school is looking for a SEN Teacher (Primary / Part Time) to start ASAP.

TEACHER SPECIFICATION

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status is a MUST!
  • A Primary Teacher with strong SEN & Autism experience is essential
  • You must be able to work effectively as part of a large team
  • Must be graded 'Good or Outstanding' in lesson observations
