SEN Tutor based in Newham East London- 15 hours a week- ASAP start

Remedy Education are looking for a Secondary Tutor to work 1:1 with a student with SEN, you will be teaching the students core subjects.

The young student has ASD, challenging behaviour and needs special support throughout the day.

SEN experience needed: You will work privately or through the local authorities on a 1: 1 basis to make a difference to children with SEN including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other additional needs.

To be a SEN Tutor Primary you will need:

  • QTS;or at least 1 years experience teaching and assessing English and / or Maths and / or Science in primary and / or secondary schools;
  • At least 2 years' experience working with SEN special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD, PDA, dysgraphia, and global developmental delay;
  • A proven record of being able to heighten pupil's confidence, self-esteem and love of learning;
  • 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability and honesty;
  • To creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching;
  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Incredible patience;
  • An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these;
  • The ability to deal with possible behaviour issues;
  • A Enhanced DBS on the update service;
  • A willingness to apply for public liability and professional indemnity insurance;
  • Register to work as self-employed.
