Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for a long-term position at a thriving and diverse community primary school in Southwark, with the potential for a permanent appointment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Teacher children in the ASD base once a week
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring their access to an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for students.
- Maintain and monitor the SEND register, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
- Ensure that statutory requirements such as Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are fully implemented and reviewed regularly.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
- NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
- Proven experience working with children with SEND.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- An ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
