Join a dedicated team at a School based in West London. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Special Needs Teacher who is committed to promoting student development and providing exceptional support for students. The school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join their Secondary Special Needs School. Our school supports students with a range of special needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and complex needs.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Special Needs Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering Individualised Education: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.

Creating a Supportive Environment: Establish a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Assessing and Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to ensure continuous improvement.

Collaborating with Specialists: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Behavior Management: Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.

Parental Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and actively involving them in their child's education.

Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest developments in special education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Whole-School Activities: Contribute to the wider school community by participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Proven experience working with secondary-aged students with special needs, particularly Autism, SEMH, and complex needs.

Strong understanding of special education principles and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
