We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets. Our school provides a nurturing and supportive environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with varying levels of ability, including those with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes emotional and social development alongside academic achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, SENCOs, and teaching assistants, to ensure each student receives the best possible support.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods and interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students, helping them build confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in a special educational needs setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN codes of practice and personalised learning plans (EHCPs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and other professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards children with special needs.
