An independent specialist day school in the borough of Sutton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16. The school provides safe learning environment for pupils living with autism (ASC), mainly Asperger's Syndrome and higher functioning autism, who also face other challenges such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and pathological demand avoidance.

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS or QTLS along with some experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective classroom teaching in an autism-friendly way, which engages and motivates young people you'll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you'll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to teach in the UK with UK QTS or NARIC recognised qualifications.
  • A strong passion for teaching and a genuine interest in special education.
  • The ability to connect with and support students with Autism and SEMH needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
