Sonic Summary

The Middle Office Supervisor - Settlements position is a 2-year fixed-term contract based in London West End with a hybrid working model of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
The role offers a salary of circa £60,000 and requires a minimum of 5 years of banking experience at a supervisory level.
Key responsibilities include processing foreign exchange and money market deals, managing fixed income trade processing, and overseeing cash and nostro management.
Candidates should have experience with OPICS and/or Equation, as well as knowledge of EMIR, SFTR, and MiFID/MiFIR reporting requirements.
The ideal applicant will also have familiarity with Swift messages MT541 and MT543 for settling fixed income trades through a custodian.

Sterling Williams are working alongside an international bank, they are currently recruiting for a Settlements Supervisor to join the team.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Bank to Bank Foreign Exchange Deal Processing
Money Market Deal Processing including Retail Customer and Platform Linkage Deposits
MT202 and MT200 payments for Banks that have current accounts with us.
Fixed Income Trade Processing by way of Swift MT541 and MT543 messages to our
Custodian.
Interest Rate Swap Processing
Daily Mark to Market valuation of derivatives administration including margin calls
Daily Deal Maturity review to confirm if trades are correctly being extended or repaid.
Cash and Nostro Management
Nostro and Custodian Reconciliation
Processing Nostro, Custodian, Brokerage and Repository charges
Transaction Monitoring
Be aware and proactive concerning Anti Money Laundering, Compliance and Regulatory

Experience & Skills required:

Experience of processing trades over all our products range
Must have minimum 5 years banking experience/supervisory level
OPICS and/or Equation experience
Flexcube and Equation experience
Settling Fixed Income trades through a Custodian using Swift MT541 and MT543 messages
Some knowledge of the reporting requirements for EMIR, SFTR and MiFID/MiFIR and the
dynamics of trade repositories in this role
Understanding the different formats that data can be configured in and being able to work
