Job Overview:
Pin Point Recruitment is working with an esteemed healthcare provider in London to recruit an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP). This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centred environment, providing high-quality emergency care and support to patients in urgent and acute care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests, in emergency care settings.
- Provide high-quality emergency care and support in various clinical environments, including urgent care centers, primary care, and specialty clinics.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex medical conditions, minor injuries, and acute illnesses, within the scope of practice.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in line with patient needs and national healthcare guidelines.
- Deliver health education to patients and families, promoting well-being, preventive care, and post-treatment advice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including training and mentorship for junior staff.
- Manage and treat patients with both minor and major injuries or illnesses, including urgent referrals and follow-up care.
Key Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with an active NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
- Advanced Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in emergency or urgent care settings.
- Proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute conditions and injuries, and a solid understanding of clinical guidelines.
- Ability to prescribe medications and manage complex medical conditions in a fast-paced emergency environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in urgent care, primary care, or hospital-based emergency care settings is desirable.
