Band 7- Speech and Language Therapist Adult Post (Locum role)

BASED: Homerton

START DATE: ASAP END DATE: 3 Months (Ongoing)

JOB SUMMARY:

• Lead and manage the provision of a Speech and Language Therapy Service within an integrated team, working in an inpatient rehabilitation unit and in the community as part of a transitional rehabilitation programme for adults with neurological conditions.

• Provide the Speech and Language Therapy component of inter-disciplinary rehabilitation of patients with challenging, complex neurological conditions who have disorders of communication and / or swallowing, to include input to all aspects of rehabilitation; i.e. behaviour, memory and cognition, counselling and discharge planning.

• Prioritise and manage an adult caseload in the clinical settings in which the post holder is working.
