We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join a children's services team on a locum basis. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with speech, language, and communication needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication skills in children.
  • Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Providing direct therapy sessions focusing on improving communication skills.
  • Working closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support the child's progress.
  • Offering guidance and strategies to assist with the child’s communication in everyday settings.
  • Tracking progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Providing regular updates and reports on the child’s development.
  • Ensuring that the clinic environment is safe, supportive, and conducive to effective therapy.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Must be available to work Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
