Our client is recruiting an HCPC Registered Speech & Language Therapist for a school based in South West London working with young people aged 9 -19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties.

Main duties:

  • Undertaking initial assessments of new and present students to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual students SaLT needs.
  • Leads and facilitates group and/or individual sessions, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the students, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the students EHCP.
  • Manages, monitors and reviews an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales. Know and take responsibility for the EHCP provision for SaLT in all of the caseload.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records, case file notes and computerised information, and other associated documentation; providing and presenting progress reports on a regular basis.
  • Liaise with professional and teaching colleagues, to support needs of individuals. Also, assist with the analysis and reporting of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes.
  • Manages own work load independently.
