Speech and Language Teaching Assistant | About the Role:

As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students needing additional communication support, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and enhancing their social interactions. Collaborating with teachers and speech and language therapists, you will implement tailored exercises and communication strategies to help students express themselves confidently and improve their language skills.

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant | Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) or a strong interest in speech and language development
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with children effectively
  • A patient, compassionate approach to supporting children’s unique needs
  • Knowledge of SEN or previous school-based experience is beneficial
