The Role:

Position: Speech and Language Teaching Assistant
Location: Kensington & Chelsea
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, for the academic year
Salary: £500 - £550 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with speech and language difficulties.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and therapy programmes designed by Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs).
Support the development of communication skills, including speech clarity, vocabulary building, and social interaction.
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to track and report student progress.
Promote an inclusive and supportive environment to help students overcome barriers to learning.

About You:

A graduate with a background in Psychology, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
A strong interest in Speech and Language Therapy and working with students who have additional needs.
Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is advantageous but not essential.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with communication challenges.
