The Role:
  • Position: Speech and Language Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Kensington & Chelsea
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Contract: Full-time, for the academic year
  • Salary: £500 - £550 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and therapy programmes designed by Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs).
  • Support the development of communication skills, including speech clarity, vocabulary building, and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to track and report student progress.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive environment to help students overcome barriers to learning.
About You:
  • A graduate with a background in Psychology, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • A strong interest in Speech and Language Therapy and working with students who have additional needs.
  • Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is advantageous but not essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with communication challenges.
