Speech and Language Therapist - School

If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in working in Children and Young Adults, within a special needs school in Lambeth.

The post holder will provide a speech and language therapy service to students with with language disorders, ASD and social interaction needs.

Pat-Time - 2 Days per Week

Salary - 42/h

This will need to focus particularly upon:

  • expressive language skills;
  • receptive language;
  • sequential skills;
  • applying language to problem-solving;
  • emotional expression and vocabulary linked to this;
  • reciprocal conversation; and
  • social interaction.

What you'll need as a Speech Language Therapist - School:

  • Highly specialist knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent qualifications, including further theoretical training and experience to Master's level equivalent in required speciality
  • Continued Professional Development evidenced by attendance at short specialist postgraduate courses to maintain and develop own specialist knowledge and expertise.
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy leading to registration with HCPC)
  • HCPC Licence to Practice, Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Membership of relevant CEN
  • 6 months of paid patient facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
  • Up-to-date clinical best practice knowledge
  • The right to work in the UK
