Speech and Language Therapist- Greenwich, London

We are looking for a talented Speech and Language Therapist to work in a one-of-a-kind Special Needs School for children with Autism and Speech and Language Disorders. You will provide tailored therapy to children as part of their ongoing therapy to support their academic and personal development.

You will be required to deliver high quality assessment, treatment, and advice to pupils, and to give feedback and advice to staff in the school.

Children in the school often have complex speech and language disorders, and associated learning disabilities and sensory impairments so a solid awareness of these will be crucial for success in this role. As a Speech and Language Therapist you will receive support from colleagues in the school and opportunities for professional development to enhance your knowledge in areas relevant to the school setting.

You will help children improve their communication skills and support their social development.

Requirements for Speech and Language Therapist:

  • A degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Minimum 1 years' experience as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist
  • HCPC membership
  • Experience working with children with Autism and SEMH
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Experience of providing Speech and Language Therapy assessment and treatment
  • Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one

About the Speech and Language Therapist role:

  • Full-time
  • 5 hours per week term time
  • Monday-Friday
  • £32,000-£35,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Additional 15 days per years should the role require attending meetings during school holiday time
