Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with autism? Join Richmond & Wandsworth Better Service Partnership's Autism Advisory Service and play a vital role in supporting children with autism, their families, and education settings.
About the Role You will work collaboratively within a multi-agency Advisory team under the direction of the Head of Service. Your role will involve supporting education settings to meet the needs of children with Autism (ASC) and Social Communication Disorder (SCD). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality training, providing intervention programmes, and supporting staff.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

UK qualified status and registered with the HCPC.

Extensive knowledge of Autism Spectrum and its impact on communication development.

Expertise in assessment and therapeutic interventions such as PECS.

Experience in operational caseload management for children with ASC.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Support education settings in developing communication-friendly environments.

Provide specialist advice and high-quality training to practitioners, families, and multi-agency professionals.

Deliver evidence-based intervention programmes for children at home and in educational settings.

Supervise and support multi-therapy assistants and Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists.

Collaborate with professionals to provide a multi-agency approach to assessment and intervention.

Contribute to statutory processes, including Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA).
