Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) - Permanent Contract

Start Date: Immediate or Flexible Start

Location: Putney/Barnes Area

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (5 days a week)

Band: Open to all Bands (Band 5, 6, or 7)

Pay: Based on NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) pay scale, dependent on experience.

Role Overview:

  • Working with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Delays, and Social Communication Difficulties.
  • Supporting pupils in various settings, such as mainstream schools, special schools, or community settings within the local area.
  • Providing individual and group therapy interventions, assessments, and tailored support plans to meet pupils' communication needs.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centered care.
  • Writing reports and maintaining accurate records of progress.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with SEN children and young people, including those with ASD, SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), ADHD, and communication challenges.
  • Strong understanding of relevant therapeutic interventions and strategies for speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, families, and staff.
