Sports Coach with General TA Responsibilities - Secondary School - Newham, London

About the Role:Are you passionate about sports and education? Long Term Futures is working with a dynamic secondary school in Newham to recruit a motivated Sports Coach who is ready to combine their coaching expertise with general Teaching Assistant (TA) responsibilities. This role offers the perfect balance for someone who thrives on inspiring students both on and off the field.

Starting in January 2025, you'll work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical activity and supporting academic development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a school committed to holistic education and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions that encourage participation and teamwork
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, supporting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social skills through sports and classroom engagement
  • Support students with organisation and confidence in both physical education and academic settings
  • Help manage extracurricular sports clubs, events, and school competitions
  • Collaborate with staff to promote a healthy and active lifestyle across the school

Who We're Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and safeguarding practices
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment

Additional Details:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Paid £95 - £115 per day, term time only
