The Role:

Long Term Futures is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This unique role involves supporting students both in PE lessons and across the curriculum, assisting with classroom learning and behaviour management while promoting physical activity and well-being.

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about sports, has a strong understanding of teamwork and discipline, and is equally confident in supporting students in the classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering PE lessons, encouraging student engagement and participation in a variety of sports
Provide general classroom support, working with students across different subjects
Offer 1:1 and small group interventions, helping students build confidence in both academic and sporting activities
Support the development of positive behaviour and teamwork, both in sports and classroom settings
Help to organise and supervise sports activities, school tournaments, and extracurricular clubs
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure students remain engaged and motivated

What We're Looking For:

Background in sports coaching, PE, or a related discipline
Experience working with secondary school students, ideally in both a sports and classroom capacity
Confident, energetic, and proactive personality with the ability to motivate students
Strong behaviour management skills and an ability to engage students of all abilities
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Additional Information:

Full-time role, Monday to Friday
Paid up to £115 per day, term time only
Based in Tower Hamlets, London, with excellent transport links
Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement
