An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and energetic Sports Coach to join a vibrant Catholic primary school in Balham, working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This full-time position offers a rewarding role for someone with a passion for sports and physical education, combined with a commitment to inclusive practice.

Sports Coach Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality sports and physical education sessions for KS1 and KS2 pupils, fostering a love for physical activity and promoting health and well-being.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), can participate fully and benefit from physical education.
  • Support SEN children in PE lessons, adapting activities where necessary to meet their individual needs and promote inclusion.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, including after-school clubs, and help plan school sporting events and competitions.
  • Act as a positive role model for students, encouraging teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship.
Sports Coach Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Sports Coach, ideally within a primary school setting, and a strong understanding of the needs of KS1 and KS2 children.
  • Ability to support special needs pupils and adapt physical activities to accommodate their individual learning and physical requirements.
  • A relevant qualification in sports coaching or physical education is desirable.
