A well-resourced Special Needs Unit within a sixth-form college in Greenwich are looking for an experienced Sports Coach to join their school on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

The role

In this role you will be a Sports LSA within the specialist SEND provision in this large 6th college.  You will lead a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and games for the 16 – 18 year old students within the provision. Students attending this section of the college have a range of Special Educational Needs including learning and development needs including Autism, ADHD and sensory needs.  You will need to adapt and develop sports activities and games that are accessible and promote positive outcomes.

The school are looking for a sports coach who has previous experience coaching secondary/post 16 students and an energetic and dedicated approach. Previous experience working with SEND is preferable .

This successful, vibrant sixth-form college is based in Greenwich and offers a dynamic range of courses for post-16 education. They support school leavers and adults to looking to update skills and have specialised centres to support students with SEND and challenging behaviours. They have state of art facilities to help prepare their students for the workplace:

  • Music and recording TV Studios
  • Mac Computer Suites
  • Learning and Resource Centre
  • Specialist staff centre – Education Psychologist department. Speech and Language Therapists and Communication Support Workers department
