- Supporting tenders and procurement exercises
- Negotiating with suppliers to ensure value for money and efficiency
- Reviewing and updating procurement processes as directed by the Head of Procurement
- Managing the software renewals programme
- Assisting in the design and delivery of a Procurement training programme for staff and suppliers to develop procurement skills and understanding
- Using technology to promote contracted suppliers
- CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent significant professional experience
- Experience of working within a Procurement environment, preferably in the HE sector, and working with senior managers and other stakeholders
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to extract /analyse data from various Procurement systems, such as Agresso, Mercell and emarketplace
- Well developed communication skills: verbal, written and in presentations
- Professional maturity and resilience in dealing with change
- 15-month fixed-term contract
- £38,000 - £43,000 salary
- Generous annual leave - 30 days plus public holidays and 6 closure days
