Our high profile and prestigious sporting client are looking for a forward thinking and innovative procurement professional to lead the procurement function of this small but key area of the organisation. This will be a leading role for a high performing individual and would suit a self-motivated person looking for that next career step! You will have a Public Sector procurement background with experience of delivering robust strategies, implementing best practice, and ensuring the organisation benefits from value for money without compromising service levels across all spend for goods and services. Key areas of spend will fall within professional services, IT and estates and you will liaise with internal & external stakeholders within the sector to ensure that needs are met and correct advice is given. You will lead on all high value procurement, working in conjunction with the legal team and individual stakeholders, using best practice/current public procurement regulations. This role would suit a senior procurement/category manager who is looking to take the next step into a Head of Procurement position.

  • Energetic, driven and forward thinking individual
  • Proven experience of Public Sector procurement - PCR 2015 and Procurement Act 2023
  • Ability to act as an advisor within a small but commercial organisation
  • MCIPS qualified - desirable
  • Strong negotiator and ability to engage and advise senior stakeholders
  • Contracts management and effective Supplier Relationship Management skills
  • Proven commercial acumen
  • Self-starter with gravitas and presence
  • Existing knowledge of managing indirect spend - cross category within a not for profit environment
  • Experience of large scale professional services procurement projects
