Cedar are working with a global utilities organisation who are undertaking a multi-billion pound transformation programme, supporting them on their journey towards becoming fully Net Zero/Carbon Neutral. We are looking for a driven and delivery focused Procurement Lead to manage Professional Services spend - including HR, Legal Services, Audit, Consultancy and Tax to name a few. You will be used to working within a Public Sector/Utilities regulated environment therefore, the ideal candidate will have a proven/recent background in public sector projects using PCR15 or UCR 16. You will be used to working in a change and transformation environment and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be Professional Services expert who can manage stakeholders at all levels and has in-depth technical knowledge - ideally spanning multiple organisations and projects. You will be a dynamic individual, who is extremely delivery focused and has a proven track record of working on large scale Public Sector programmes, managing high value contracts across Professional Services on a multi-site/location basis.

Proven track record of procurement in the Public sector within the Professional Services category

  • Public Sector or Utilities procurement experience (essential)
  • Professional Services category experience - covering HR, Legal, Consultancy, Audit etc
  • Proven track record of working in a change and transformation environment
  • Experience of running end to end tenders across a range of professional services
  • Strong negotiator
  • Delivery focused and driven
  • Working knowledge of managing suppliers and contracts for professional services
  • CIPS qualified (desirable)
  • Effective stakeholder engagement
  • Immediate start required
