We are in search of a dedicated Procurement Lead to manage and oversee procurement and supply chain operations in the public sector. The individual should have exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient procurement processes.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to drive value, reduce risk, and enhance commercial outcomes for their Technology group. As a critical part of the Finance Division's Commercial team, you'll manage procurement and contract lifecycles across the digital and technology portfolios, driving optimal value and ensuring robust contract performance management.

What's the Role?

As the Procurement Lead, you will support a dynamic portfolio for Digital and Technology procurements, focusing on value creation, risk mitigation, and driving transformational change. You'll work closely with the Head of Digital Commercial, MHRA's internal divisions, manage critical supplier relationships, and lead within the Commercial function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Development of a Strategy: Support and help Shape and deliver the Commercial Category Strategy for Digital and Technology, aligning with MHRA's Operational Transformation goals.
  • Lead Procurement and Contract Management: Oversee procurement activities, ensuring comprehensive analysis and recommendations to support senior decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across the Agency, ensuring value-driven contracts and innovative commercial solutions.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Maintain supplier performance and manage commercial risk throughout the contract lifecycle.

Profile

Who Are We Looking For?

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven expertise in commercial/Procurement leadership within a technology environment.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiations, procurement, and management of IT goods and services within a Public Sector, Central Government or NfP environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and foster effective team collaboration.
  • Technical skills in procurement legislation, contract drafting, digital procurement and stakeholder advisory.
  • CIPS qualification (desirable, but not required) and/or demonstrable career within PCR2015 led Digital Procurements.
