An industry-leading construction and engineering specialist is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their business. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the infrastructure, civil engineering, and building sectors. Role Overview:

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitive tender submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams, the role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine costs and risks.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including design, planning, and procurement, to ensure robust cost planning.
  • Evaluate potential value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency.
  • Support contract negotiations and contribute to commercial strategy.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging construction technologies.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estimating within the construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing methodologies, tendering processes, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Excel-based cost analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
