Minibus Driver/Caretaker •    Location: Clapham •    Job Type: 2 x Part Time Roles 

We are working with a prestigious independent school, located in the heart of Clapham, seeking 2 part-time Minibus Driver/Caretaker’s. In this role you will play an important part within the maintenance team, ensuring the facilities are maintained to the highest standard, and the pupils are transported to and from site in a safe and friendly manner.There are 2 part-time roles available, both part time. Both run Monday to Friday, and have the option of being either all-year round, or just term-time. 

Shift Pattern 1: 7am to 1pm  (30 hours a week)Shift Pattern 2: 2pm to 7pm (25 hours a week)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Perform cleaning activities in the absence of Housekeepers.
  • Conduct minor repairs such as fixing broken locks and filling wall gaps.
  • Oversee control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
  • Drive school minibuses as required.
  • Execute maintenance tasks and general DIY.
  • Ensure functionality of safety systems like fire alarms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a D1 license and be capable of driving school minibuses. (Those passing their test before 1997 will automatically have a D1 License)
  • Experience in property maintenance, preferably within a school setting.
  • Ability to perform manual and physical tasks.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, adhering to the school’s Child Protection Policy.
