HGV Sweeper Driver

Job Description:
As a Sweeper Driver, you will be responsible for operating and driving a street sweeper vehicle to clean and maintain public roads, highways, and other paved areas. Your primary duties will include:
Job Duties:
- Operating and driving a street sweeper vehicle to clean designated areas
- Following scheduled routes to ensure thorough cleaning of roads and pavements
- Performing routine maintenance checks on the sweeper vehicle
- Reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- Adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws while operating the sweeper vehicle
- Assisting with other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- A valid UK driving licence - CLASS 2
- DRIVERS QUALIFICATION CARD - DQC
- Proven experience in operating large sweepers
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Good physical condition to perform manual tasks
Education:
No specific educational requirements
Experience:
Previous experience in operating sweepers is a requirement - The ideal canidate will be able to operate, drive and maintain the vehicle from the outset.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
- Experience in STREET SWEEPER DRIVING
Working Conditions:
As a Sweeper Driver, you will work outdoors in various weather conditions. The role may require occasional weekend or evening work based on operational needs.
