Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Business Support Officer to work within the Social Care Department. In this role, you will provide administrative support to social workers, managers, and other team members, ensuring that processes and services are delivered efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating schedules, and supporting operational tasks to improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to social care teams, including managing case files, correspondence, and scheduling appointments for clients.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including client details, case notes, and service delivery reports.
  • Assist with the processing of referrals, assessments, and other social care documentation in line with local authority policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate meetings, reviews, and appointments for social care professionals and clients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
  • Support the management of social care caseloads, tracking and reporting on service progress and deadlines.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communication, including phone calls, emails, and written correspondence, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
  • Maintain and update client databases, ensuring information is accurate, confidential, and up-to-date.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation for meetings and reviews.
  • Work closely with social workers, care managers, and other colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist in managing office supplies and equipment, ensuring the team has everything required for effective service delivery.
  • Support the department in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social care.
