Event Merchandise Manager required by a leading global retail marketing group based in the West End of London. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects for various live events, with focus on merchandise retail operations, inventory management and profitability reporting.This is a permanent, full time role – salary £35-38k per annum plus benefits – offices based in Oxford Circus / Piccadilly Circus area of central London – hybrid working (4 days office and 1 day working from home).Duties:
  • Managing project timelines
  • Developing merchandise ranges alongside creative design team
  • Managing the prescribed purchasing policy of ideal order volumes and balancing pricing with quantities
  • Communicating with venues in advance of event dates
  • Sharing necessary information and all tools/POS materials needed for successful retail operations
  • Developing inventive, creative and visually appealing retail spaces where needed, as well as guiding venue teams on how to develop and maintain their own retail locations.
  • Collecting and reviewing daily/weekly sales data from all venues
  • Reviewing inventory levels and reporting anomalies, resolving queries
  • Reviewing sales against stock levels and forecasting restock requirements
  • Preparing weekly client statements to report on weekly sales performance
  • Managing all relationships across projects including managing expectations of clients
  • Navigating challenges to ensure customer service levels are upheld
  • Providing regular feedback and updates across all phases of projects
  • Coordinating and organising day-to-day tasks to ensure efficiency in time management
  • Attending weekly internal meetings to report on status of all projects
  • Visiting venues across the UK and internationally to monitor performance and ensure retail spaces and products are appropriately presented
  • Continuously monitor the quality of products presented and the quality of service provided by project and in general by the company
  • Upholding a high standard of presentation as a member of the company to all venues and all company clients and stakeholders.
Additional info and Benefits:
  • Excellent project management skills are essential
  • Experience in retail and stock control management is desirable
  • Hours – 9.00am to 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) however during Event Openings / Building retail stores hours may vary and may include weekends.
  • 4 days in office and 1 day working from home.
  • £35,000 - £38,000 – No movement in salary
  • Some travel may be required across the UK and potentially at times overseas.
  • No management of staff just managing own projects
  • Looking after 5 to 10 projects at any one time.
  • Having an interest and being passionate about theatre, the events world and interested in merchandising would be ideal.
