Senior Category Manager - Permanent
Venn Group are working exclusively with a healthcare organisation, who are looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will develop the procurement strategy, deliver strategic sourcing for a defined category and implement strong stakeholder engagement to maintain the lowest costs and strengthen existing relationships with key suppliers.
Location: London - Hybrid working, 3 days a week on site
Salary: £61,900 - £68,600 (+ annual bonus and excellent benefits package)
The successful candidate will:
- Review, negotiate, re-negotiate and draft contracts for cost optimisation and deliver savings targets to support the cost improvement programme
- Implement change and improvements to support and enable staff to deliver and enhance procurement capability
- Work with Clinical staff to understand usage levels of goods and translate the need into effective contract and supply chain management to maintain a resilient supply chain
- Manage procurement for Clinical category / Categories (previous clinical category experience is not required)
The successful candidate must fit the following criteria:
- Worked in the NHS, wider Public Sector or Private Healthcare
- A proven track record of achieving significant cost reductions
- Experience with category spend up to £30M
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage large contracts
