HYBRID WORKING
This is a rare and fast-paced role for an ambitious aviation supply chain professional in a global company at the forefront of maritime, aviation, government and enterprise satellite communications operating in over 40 countries.
You’ll be based in the customer support arm of the company’s the high performing Aviation Business Unit, responsible for a unique set of products and services making "passenger connectivity" (internet, mobile, SMS etc) possible for the world’s commercial airlines. In simple terms, you will be the primary point of product support for airline customers and suppliers when dealing with repair, replacements and hardware modification rollouts.
The position is diverse, spanning:
-
Set-up and management of new spare support contracts, as well as spares support and reporting (RMA creation, shipping coordination, spares availability management)
-
Analysis of failure and repair shop findings
-
Responsibility for driving vendor performance and supplier KPI reporting
-
Contribution to internal and external weekly?"in-service"?meetings, program reviews and customer business reviews
-
Financial forecasting and reporting
Critically, you will need an understanding of aviation supply chains, ideally in a materials management capacity but an understanding of logistics, order processing, maintenance or project management will also assist.
Character is all. Whilst processes are well-established, you’ll be a proactive, adaptable, detailed focused individual: we’re told every day will bring unexpected challenges requiring confidence to prioritise tasks whilst retaining precision. You will not be micro-managed!
Finally, as the company provides a values-oriented, forward-thinking environment, you’ll be a natural collaborator with a desire to deliver exceptional customer service.
