Description

  • Establish and manage procurement governance frameworks
  • Support the Category Managers with Audit & Governance responsibilities and future audits
  • Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies
  • Oversee tendering and contract management processes
  • Train and guide procurement staff on governance processes
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve procurement policies
  • Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in procurement practices

Profile

A successful Procurement Governance Manager should have:

  • Ideally be CIPS Level 4 or higher
  • Experience in the public sector, preferably within the NHS
  • Excellent understanding of procurement regulations and standards including the new Procurement Act
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
