Description
- Establish and manage procurement governance frameworks
- Support the Category Managers with Audit & Governance responsibilities and future audits
- Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulations
- Develop and execute procurement strategies
- Oversee tendering and contract management processes
- Train and guide procurement staff on governance processes
- Collaborate with other departments to improve procurement policies
- Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in procurement practices
Profile
A successful Procurement Governance Manager should have:
- Ideally be CIPS Level 4 or higher
- Experience in the public sector, preferably within the NHS
- Excellent understanding of procurement regulations and standards including the new Procurement Act
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
