The Business:
A big global professional services and outsourcing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a Procurement agenda into a growing space i.e. being proactive and taking hold and ownership of opportunities, shaping deals and driving governance, often within tight timescales
- Ownership of large levels of spend across a wide range of Telco procurement projects. Projects will vary in value from c.£1m up to £100m+
- Run strategic procurement projects end to end in Telco sub-category areas such as Networks, Cloud, Carriers etc.
- Challenge stakeholders to a senior level in the right way in order to drive the procurement agenda and achieve positive, 'value-add' results
Key Skills:
- You must be proactive in your approach
- Resilient in character - able to challenge stakeholders to achieve a positive result
- Have a strong track record within the Telco category, ideally in Networks, Cloud, Carriers etc.
- Able to navigate a large complex blue-chip environment and cut through the noise, prioritising effectively
- Someone who understands what 'best in class' procurement looks like and can bring new ideas to the table
- An ability to develop and implement category strategy
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally experience in the Telco industry
- CIPS/Degree or equivalent qualification would be useful
