As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities, ensuring that the materials and products meet our high standards of quality and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the brand’s objectives and sustainability goals.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring the quality of materials.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of materials to meet production schedules while minimizing excess stock.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production teams to forecast needs and ensure alignment with product development timelines.
- Reporting: Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports on procurement activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to your direct report, fostering their professional development and ensuring team objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the luxury fashion industry.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and experience with inventory management systems.
- A passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
