Executive Talent Solutions are working with a leading food production and import business to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Analyst for a 6-12 month contract.
The business is an international food production and sourcing business, supplying many of the UK's major supermarkets and grocery businesses. They have enjoyed significant growth over the past 5 years and are poised for further expansion.
The Supply Chain Analyst is a maternity cover position and is expected to last 6 to 12 months. The salary for the role is £30,000 to £40,000 plus benefits. The business offers Hybrid working with 3 days in the Holborn office and 2 days WFH. The role will start in mid Feb 2025.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage, prioritise and book international freight into UK and Ireland 3PL Warehouses, ensuring smooth and timely arrivals. This includes coordinating with freight forwarders to track container shipments and resolve any potential issues related to delays or documentation discrepancies.
- Oversee the order management process for multiple UK customers, ensuring prompt processing of customer orders, accurate order fulfilment, and timely collection of all required delivery documentation.
- Assist the 3PL teams with warehouse and stock management, adhering to agreed principles (e.g. First In First Out / Minimum Life On Receipt).
- Manage Best before dates and damages to minimise product waste and manage slow moving stock with commercial teams.
- Provide 3PL with scheduled weekly inbound plan, and a rolling forecast of inbound and outbound volumes.
- Provide customers with regular updates on any SKU shortages (with root cause), risks and return to stock dates.
- Support with weekly, monthly & quarterly assessment of Supply Chain performance, through pre-agreed KPIs.
- Draft ad hoc reports and insights, depending on the requirements of the team / business.
- Work with and support the central Supply Chain management team on the following activities to improve the ratio between product supply chain cost and service level.
