As a member of the sales department, you will be overseeing fruit inventory, volume requirements and logistics. Coordinating and managing the process from packhouse to customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate and maintain the coordinated sourcing mission and strategy.
  • Work closely with the sales / supply chain teams to ensure all sales volumes are supplied and pre-planned accounting for any external factors such as vessel changes.
  • Responsible for inventory management / ordering, procurement, profitability, packing and logistics.
  • Review, manage, understand and report on the supply chain of goods including vessel tracking and any other transit challenges the company may be facing.
  • Purchase order and receipt raising responsibility in D365.
  • Ownership and communication planning product arrivals within the business and suppliers / service providers.
  • Responsible for ordering packaging: contacting packaging suppliers and placing orders for the required packaging and negotiating prices. Volumes ordered are aligned with the sales forecast; liaising closely with Sales / Supply Chain to ensure the correct amount in the correct format is available when required.
  • Ensure that all packaging that is received, is entered into the system, and kept up to date, working closely with the Warehouse team to manage stock arrivals and the safe storage of stock.
  • Maintain weekly physical stock checks of the packaging and consumables stock. Complete stock adjustments on the system after the packaging has gone through the production process, as and when required, working closely with the Operations Excellence Team to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of D365 and off system processes.
  • Monitoring and planning packaging availability for production, maintain planning spreadsheet.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure inventory is at the correct level, any changes to designs or requirements are understood and implemented, work together on new concepts for packaging.
  • Perform other reasonable duties related to this job role as requested.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Supply Chain / inventory management experience in a perishable industry would be preferable, but suitable equivalent qualifications / skills will also be considered.
  • Ability to plan and deal with unexpected changes.
  • Understanding of manufacturing supply chain.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to negotiate and talk with suppliers.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of cross-functional team members.
  • Understanding of Stock Management systems or ERP, examples SAP, Fresh ware, D36
