We are looking for a Damp & Timber Surveyor to prescribe remedial treatments, typically for domestic properties, working on a self-employed basis.Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and produce basic floor plans with site notes detailing issues & recommendations for remedial steps.
  • Understand damp & timber treatment options relating to structural damp in ground and below ground areas.
  • Have a good understanding of condensation issues
  • Use basic computer skills including email and Microsoft Word to produce digital floor plans

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have at least one of the below qualifications or equivalent.
    • Certificated Surveyor for Remedial Treatment (CSRT)
    • Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW)
    • Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB)
    • Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Situated in or close to the London area
  • Own reliable transport and be available for travel throughout London and local parts of the Home Counties
  • Good communication skills and a presentable appearance
  • Own vehicle, mobile phone, PC, measuring and testing equipment
  • Ability to keep your own books and post receipts to us monthly

You will have your own vehicle, mobile phone & PC. Measuring/testing equipment can be provided if necessary along with training on our digital drawing package and an initial period of shadowing during site visits.

You will keep your own books with costs associated posting your receipts to us monthly.
