We are looking for a Disrepair Officer in Thamesmead, London, SE28


Duties:
-Responsible for delivering strategic client side activity for the asset management service tackling statutory disrepair cases relating to the repairs service.
-A qualified surveyor who is familiar with the Homes (fit for human habitation) Act 2018 who holds a full valid driving licence, must have a vehicle and hold a valid asbestos awareness certificate (needs to be evidenced via the pre-employment checks for the successful candidate).
-Duty to Manage will be an asset to the team. An ability to provide a comprehensive specialised technical service ensuring that potential disrepairs, statutory nuisance, structural repairs and insurance claims thatare dealt with professionally in accordance with procedures.
-To engage with key stakeholders across the services on all levels to achieve a level of quality and consistency agreeing action to improve service delivery.
-To supervise, provide instructions and guidance to internal/external contractor staff, working in a number of dispersed locations, to ensure that work is completed on time, to a high specification and is carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety standards.
-A good standard of building pathology particularly around the issues of Dampness would be prudent.
