We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join a building surveying department within a reputable estate management organisation in South East London.

You will assist the principal building surveyor and provide cover for the Maintenance Surveyor and the Building Surveyor department. You will act as the first point of contact for all building maintenance repair request from tenants

Permanent position

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Salary £30k

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistthe Principal Building Surveyor and the building Surveyor team inimplementinganddeliveringthe Estate’s strategy goals, specific projects and tasks
  • Responsible for triaging the building maintenance calls to either manage directly ( i.e. white good maintenance, plumbing, guttering, etc) or pass on to the correct building surveyor
  • Responsible for raising orders for minor works (using Company specific systems) monitoring the works
  • Assist the principal building surveyor and the maintenance surveyor in obtaining estimates, analysing tenders, and preparing tender reports
  • Administer maintenance contracts which include, gutter cleaning, entry phone systems, cleaning and ad hoc
  • Manage pest control contracts for residential and commercial properties
  • Manage warranty registration of white goods and keep maintenance records
  • Manage Grange Lane Tip administration and maintain a record of waste tonnage
  • Responsible for Posts and Chains maintenance including stock keeping and replenishment orders
  • Responsible for raising orders as directed by the Estate team for leasehold properties
  • Manage and log garden maintenance payments for rented properties

What you will need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in a helpdesk / maintenance coordinator / property maintenance and management role
  • Surveying administration and coordinator desirable but not essential
  • IT literate to use different softwares
  • Core administrative and organisation skills
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Professional and reliable
